A ₦1.64m transfer to Pastor Jerry Eze’s church has triggered a public appeal for a refund.
A Nigerian woman identified as Sandra Okpara says she mistakenly sent ₦1,640,200 to the church’s account. She has appealed for the money to be returned because it was not intended as an offering.

“I mistakenly sent 1,640,200 into Pastor Jerry Eze church account,” she said in the video. She then appealed for the money because, according to her, “it’s not offering.”

The church said it had not received a direct complaint from her before the video became public. Instead, officials learned about the issue through the viral video.
