Serwaa Amihere advises women to prioritise self-care and personal hygiene

Media personality and lawyer Serwaa Amihere has urged women to make self-care, hygiene and a well-kept appearance part of their daily routine.

The broadcaster made the call in a social media video while encouraging women to look presentable without feeling pressured to spend beyond their means.

According to the media personality, taking care of oneself goes beyond expensive beauty products. She said women should pay attention to simple details such as their hair, clothing and fragrance.

She also encouraged women to keep a body splash or fragrance in their bags. That, she explained, can help them refresh themselves when necessary and maintain a pleasant scent throughout the day.

Serwaa Amihere highlights the value of self-care

Serwaa Amihere placed mental health alongside personal appearance in her advice. She urged women to take care of their minds while also paying attention to how they present themselves.

“Take care of your mental health, take care of how you look after yourself,” she said.

Her comments suggest that self-care should not be viewed only as a luxury. Instead, she encouraged women to develop simple habits that help them feel confident and comfortable in their daily lives.

The media personality also stressed that looking good does not have to come with a high price tag. She noted that women can maintain a polished appearance even when working with a limited budget.

Good grooming does not have to be expensive

One of the key points in Serwaa Amihere’s message was the importance of making practical choices. She encouraged women to focus on being clean, neat and presentable rather than chasing expensive products.

Her advice covered areas that are part of everyday grooming. These include keeping the hair well maintained, choosing suitable clothing and using a fragrance that works for the individual.

She also advised women to carry a body splash or fragrance so they can freshen up when needed. The suggestion offers a simple way to stay prepared, especially during long days away from home.

For her, the goal is not to compete over who owns the most expensive perfume. Instead, she wants women to choose scents that suit them and leave a pleasant impression.

    Choosing the right fragrance matters

Serwaa Amihere further encouraged women to find fragrances that match their personality and preferences. She said a woman can smell good without buying the most expensive perfume available.

The focus, therefore, is on making a thoughtful choice and using it appropriately. A pleasant scent, combined with good hygiene and neat grooming, can contribute to a person’s overall appearance.

Her message also challenges the idea that self-care must always involve costly treatments or products. Simple habits can make a difference when they are practised consistently.

A reminder to prioritise personal care

Beyond fragrance and appearance, her advice centred on taking personal care seriously. The message encouraged women to pay attention to both their mental well-being and everyday presentation.

She also reminded women that a limited budget should not stop them from looking after themselves. Basic grooming, cleanliness and thoughtful choices can help anyone maintain a neat appearance without excessive spending.

The advice comes as a practical reminder that self-care can begin with small daily habits. For women looking to feel more confident and prepared, taking care of personal hygiene and appearance can be a simple place to start.
