A substantial sum of money has been contributed to the Accra West Divisional MTTU at Odokor in the Greater Accra Region by an individual who survived a perilous accident near the Odokor Traffic Light on a Wednesday night. Nana Kweku Ofori Atta, the Chief Executive Officer of Avcontech Security Masters, made the generous donation with the specific intention of assisting the police in acquiring paint for refurbishing their facility in preparation for the Christmas season.
Motivation Behind the Donation
In an interview with Bulla The Blogger, Nana Ofori Atta revealed that his motivation stemmed from the aftermath of a harrowing accident that resulted in significant damage to multiple vehicles, including his own. During his visit to the police station, he was moved by the deteriorating condition of the building. As a responsible citizen, he felt compelled to play a role in enhancing the physical appearance of the station, recognizing that the collective effort to ensure security, especially through policing, is vital.

Nana Ofori Atta expressed his commitment to supporting the police, emphasizing that this gesture is not an isolated incident. He has previously made several donations to law enforcement and affirmed his ongoing desire to contribute further, acknowledging the pivotal role of the police in safeguarding internal security.
Despite the severe damage sustained by his Toyota Camry (registered GX 3023-23) in the collision, Nana Ofori Atta’s spirit of generosity remained undeterred. DSP Aboah Offei, who accepted the donation on behalf of the police, expressed gratitude and astonishment at Nana Ofori Atta’s benevolence. He assured the public that the funds would be allocated for the intended purpose and extended an invitation for Nana Kweku Ofori Atta to witness the completion of the building’s repainting.
Reflections on the Accident
Reflecting on the details of the accident, Nana Ofori Atta recounted that an articulated truck closely trailed his vehicle on the N1 road from the Achimota Forest Roundabout toward Ablekuma. Both vehicles adhered to traffic regulations at the Laspamas traffic light in Lapaz, proceeding when the light turned green. However, at the Odokor traffic light, the truck lost control moments after the green light, colliding with vehicles in the adjacent lane, including Nana Ofori Atta’s car.
Describing the impact on his vehicle’s “passenger” side as severe, Nana Ofori Atta credited divine intervention for his survival. Despite the irreparable damage to his car’s engine and accessories, he expressed gratitude for the protection he experienced during the chaotic incident.
