British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer Igho Ubiribo has died following complications linked to a penis enlargement procedure he underwent during a trip to Thailand.
Ubiribo, who was 43, died in Bangkok on March 6, 2026. Details surrounding his death emerged months later during an inquest at the Inner West London Coroners’ Court, where a coroner concluded that the procedure resulted in a fatal pulmonary embolism.
Ubiribo was also known online by the names “Tiny,” “Denisi” and “Ego”. He had built a substantial social media following by documenting his international lifestyle and was reported to have about 185,000 Instagram followers.

What happened in Bangkok
Ubiribo was holidaying in Bangkok with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, when he decided to undergo the cosmetic procedure at an unnamed clinic.
Evidence presented during the London inquest indicated that approximately 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected as part of the treatment.
After the procedure, the couple went for a massage. During the session, Ubiribo began experiencing chest pain and lost consciousness twice.
He was taken by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he was initially responsive. His wife told medical staff about the recent procedure, prompting doctors to suspect a pulmonary embolism.
A CT scan was recommended, but Ubiribo lost consciousness before it could be completed.
He was subsequently transferred to intensive care, where medical staff attempted to revive him for more than 100 minutes.
He died in the early hours of March 6.
Inquest examines the penis enlargement procedure
The circumstances surrounding Ubiribo’s death were later examined during an inquest in London.
A post-mortem examination carried out in the United Kingdom found material in his lungs that was consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure. The finding was also reported to be consistent with the results of an earlier autopsy conducted in Thailand.
Pathologist John du Parcq told the inquest that the material found in Ubiribo’s lungs matched the substance used during the cosmetic treatment.
Coroner Jean Harkin subsequently concluded that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the procedure.
A pulmonary embolism occurs when a blood vessel supplying the lungs becomes blocked. In severe cases, it can prevent adequate blood flow through the lungs and place significant strain on the heart.
His medical history
Information provided to the inquest indicated that Ubiribo had previously undergone joint surgery and had been described as pre-diabetic and suffering from gout.
However, his primary care doctor reportedly told the inquest that he did not have other significant documented medical conditions.
The medical evidence presented during the investigation therefore focused attention on the cosmetic treatment and the material subsequently identified in his lungs.
Wife was with him during the trip
Ubiribo was travelling with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, when the procedure took place.
The couple had married in Zimbabwe in 2022. Allen has been described in reports as an Anglo-Zimbabwean socialite and fashion designer.
Ubiribo was known for showcasing an affluent lifestyle online, with his travels taking him to destinations including Paris, Cape Town and Bali.
His death has since attracted renewed attention to the potential risks associated with injectable cosmetic procedures.
Experts have warned that penile filler treatments can result in serious complications, including infection, scarring, loss of sensation, erectile dysfunction and deformity.
The case has also renewed discussion about the importance of understanding the risks associated with elective cosmetic procedures, particularly treatments involving injectable materials.
