Ghanaian artist Fameye has revealed that he invested over $15,000 in his TGMA performance, focusing on quality and visual impact.
Speaking on TV3 New Day, the Praise hitmaker detailed the expenses involved in delivering a standout stage performance. According to him, the amount covered everything from set design and wardrobe to payments for dancers, instrumentalists, and production staff.
“I spent over $15,000 on just my set. People may not know, but I want my brand to stand out,” he said.
The Fameye TGMA performance was noted for its creative direction and high-quality production. Fameye explained that big stages like the Telecel Ghana Music Awards offer artists a unique chance to express themselves, not just musically but visually.
He emphasised that the money wasn’t wasted but rather a crucial investment in his live show. “The feedback I received made it worth every cedi. People saw the effort, and that matters more than an award,” he added.
Though he did not win an award that night, Fameye’s concert appearance was widely appreciated for its professional finish and stage presence. His decision reflects a growing trend where Ghanaian artists are investing in music performances that match international standards.
By prioritising excellence in his stage set, Fameye hopes to inspire others to view live music not just as entertainment but as an experience worth building with care.
