Ghanaian musician Edem has joined the Safer Digital Ghana campaign as its official Brand Ambassador. The initiative, led by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), aims to promote online safety and responsible digital practices across the country.
A Voice for Digital Safety
At a ceremony held at the CSA headquarters in Accra, Edem was unveiled as the campaign’s public face. He expressed excitement about using his platform to raise awareness about the dangers of the internet and how Ghanaians can stay safe online.
“We’re all online, from the young to the old. But many still don’t know how to protect themselves,” Edem said. “I’m happy to help spread the message of safe internet use.”
Why Edem?
The CSA chose Edem for his strong influence, especially among the youth. His ability to connect with a wide audience makes him the perfect fit for the campaign’s mission.
Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako, Director-General of the CSA, said involving public figures is key to making cybersecurity a national conversation.
“Cyber safety isn’t just for tech experts. It affects everyone. Edem helps bring that message to people where they are—online, in schools, and in communities,” he said.
