On October 11, Brooklyn prosecutors claimed that Javone Duncan, a 22-year-old career criminal, was angered after Raelyn Cameron rejected his advances and shot her in the chest before fleeing. The sad situation happened when the defendant was making flirtatious overtures to the victim in an empty flat. According to reports, after the victim declined the defendant’s request to suck his d-k, the defendant grabbed a firearm and fatally shot her in the chest.
Police confirmed that a trail of blood traveled from the Eldert Lane building’s sixth-floor flat, into the elevator, and into the lobby, where the victim was discovered to have died. When she arrived at Brookdale University Hospital, she was soon admitted and eventually declared dead from a gunshot wound.
When they left Cameron in the hallway like a sack of trash, her mother thought she had already passed away. The gunshot was classified as a homicide after police initially thought it was an accident. This is not Duncan’s first encounter with the cops. September 3, 2020 will mark his first case. Just before one in the morning, police in Crown Heights saw Duncan driving a 2005 Kia with Florida license plates and the headlights off.
They found a bag of marijuana and a loaded 25-caliber Taurus revolver inside the vehicle, and the driver was arrested for weapons possession as well as moving offenses. On November 1st, Duncan must appear in court once more in Brooklyn for Cameron’s murder. Since then, he had been taken into custody in the station house of the 75th Precinct.
