Ghana’s Sports Minister, Kofi Adams, is optimistic as the Black Stars prepare for their upcoming World Cup qualifier against Mali. He sees the match as a chance to recover from their recent draw against Chad and reaffirm their leadership in the group.
Adams visited the team’s training camp in Accra and encouraged the players to stay confident. He acknowledged the frustrations of the Chad match but also reminded them of their skill and potential. “I know what you’re capable of,” he said. “You have the talent, the passion, and the opportunity to turn this around.”
His tone was more supportive than critical, emphasizing belief in the squad rather than dwelling on what went wrong. A senior team member added that lessons have been learned and that there is clear determination to bounce back. “We know what went wrong, and we are determined to correct it,” the player noted. “The win is coming.”
With the Stars still leading Group I, a strong performance against Mali would help solidify their position as they press toward qualification.
