“I Feel Rejected” – Awal Mohammed opens up about his struggles in the music industry

Ghanaian rapper and former reality show contestant Awal Mohammed has opened up about his emotional struggles in the music industry, sharing that he often feels overlooked and unsupported despite his efforts.

In a recent interview, Awal spoke with raw honesty about the disappointment he faces in his career. Once widely known for his performances on music competition platforms and his affiliation with industry figures like Sarkodie, Awal revealed that the journey since then hasn’t been as smooth as many assume.

“I feel rejected,” he confessed. “Sometimes it feels like no one sees what I’m doing, like I’m invisible. I’ve tried everything I can, but the support just isn’t there.”

Despite releasing music and consistently working on his craft, Awal noted that he struggles to get the attention and backing he needs to reach the next level. His words reflect a sentiment shared by many emerging artists — that talent alone is not always enough in a tough and often unpredictable industry.

Still, Awal hasn’t given up. He expressed hope that by speaking up, more attention will be drawn to the challenges faced by hardworking musicians who are pushing through quietly, without fanfare.

His story is a reminder of the emotional toll the pursuit of success can take — and the importance of support, even beyond the spotlight.
